I'm getting older and planning for going to a third wheel sometime. I'm looking for a side car with mounts that fit the new style HD touring frame. I want to put it on a 2010 FLHX Streetglide without ABS. Anyone have something like this? Only HD side cars or replicas considered.

There are two companies that make sidecars that look a lot like the Harley TLE sidecar. Lak sidecars in the Netherlands and Trans-Moto in Canada. Liberty sidecars are also very nice, made in USA, styled like the older 40's to 60's HD sidecars.

Harley sidecars haven't changed much since the 60's. The bikes frames have, so almost any Harley sidecar you get will usually need some different mounts unless it is the same year as your motorcycle
My Avatar pic is my 2010 FLHX/Liberty outfit. A great touring rig with the 103 conversion, Brembo brake and full suspension.

Thanks to both Hack'n and Davet for the info. I contacted both sidecar repro companies and am looking at their products. Lak hasn't responded yet but Trans-moto has and seems to be interested in my business. I found one 1999 sidecar on Ebay that I think is too much. It didn't sell and is now relisted at the same price $4995. I think the fair price is about $3500. What is your opinion on the price? Link below. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Davidson-Ultra-Classic-Factory-Side-...
I'm also interested in using a wheel from a 2010 Streetglide that I already have. The bearings on the front wheel are 1 inch. Are the bearings on the stock HD car the same inner diameter on both sides of the side car wheel? I also would like to use the rotor off this wheel. Fabricating a caliper mount is within my skill set to convert to drum if needed. Do you see any issues with the stock sidecar axle with this setup? (I want the wheels to match.)

I paid $4000 for my 96 TLE in early 2012. The price of that ebay one is a little high, if I was looking again I would try to find a newer disc brake model. 2002 or later have easier toe-in adjustment. I think the sidecar axle is 3/4" but not 100% sure of that. They may have gone to a larger axle at some time but I don't know for sure. You might have to fabricate an axle to use the newer wheel.

Yes, I'm still looking. Can you send me some pics? Include the mounting points in the pics as well. Thanks. firstname.lastname@example.org
