After 50 years of motorcycling, my hands quit working — rode less than 200 miles during last 2 years. Need to find a new home for my toys:

1998 BMW R1200C motorcycle (featured in the 1997 007 film Tomorrow Never Dies): 15,300 miles; bike is in very good condition with leather-clad hard cases, ABS, heated grips, AeroFlow shield with lower & grip shields, exhaust heat shields, left crash bar (right side available, removed for side car). Sidecar: Vetter Terraplane, restoration, 4-point attachment & setup by Kurt Liebhaber of SCF Sidecars; rebuilt seat & installed seat belt; new windshield, rear luggage rack. Located in Sterling, Illinois. $8,950

Also Available: BigTex 5X10 ft trailer with wheel chocks for bike & side car -- will consider including trailer to facilitate new owner transporting bike!

Tempting (I love the R1200C) but price is not reasonable (KBB on the Beemer is $4160...). Too bad!

I have had about 10 bikes, and the R12c was by far my favorite. Sure a little underpowered if you are looking for crotchrocket accel. but Smoooooth and nice and torquey. The early years had a problem with the tail light cracking, if yours isnt cracked, probably wont. Dramatic difference in power after a valve job, mine required it only after initial break in at 1500 mi.
ABS is wonderful, but mine did throw an error after I let the batt die over winter.
Looking for another, I miss that bike!
