Ya'll come! It'll be good for what ails ya and you don't even need to ask your doctor. No side effects to be warned about by someone talking at hyper-speed. We'll see you there!

Just mapped out a route to Hayden Lake, ID, boy are the major towns, on even the best route, scarser than hens teeth. LoL I hope I get better gas milage than I planned for, or my pocket book is surely going to feel like I have been robbed, by a pick-pocket of something, that is if gas prices don't come down by then.

What will be the camping accomodation be like, I'll have to pitch a tent, motels are a bit pricy? Also, I hope shopping for food and camp supplies isn't going to be any problem either, by the time I get their I will certainly have to stock up, for the return trip. Will pets be allowed in the camp areas also?

I hope I can get the rig put together and road tested by then, a two thousand mile round trip should be nice to start the summer touring with.

If you can send a flyer by email, then send me one to.

Flyer is on the way via cyberspace... Pets certainly welcome. If Archie can't come, I won't be there and you can bet I'll be there! I'm thinking the rest of your questions are answered on the flyer. If not, shoot me an e-mail. Or Billie. See ya there!

Hey Jim- it bounced back. I sent it to the exact e-address you specified, jlsrockhound@sbcglobal.net but it says it doesn't recognize that address. You can go to Vernon's web site and get a flyer or drop me a line at tewells@centurytel.net and I'll send one, OK?

Sorry Tom: My BAD! I forgot to add a Dot after jls. I corrected it in my post, please to try again. Started my sidecar modification, at least I got the basket off the frame and on a wagon to move it around. now comes the tricky part, the all important cut and placement of the mount modification, just a couple of steps closer to being able to make the trip to Hayden Lake, ID.

5252: What are the nights like in mid June? If all comes together, I wouldn't want to pack to light, but on the same note, space and weight being at a premium, I wouldn't want to pack my heavier, warmer gear, if moderate weather gear will suffice. I believe in layering clothing and bedding, but I don't want to bring sub freezing clothing and/or bedding, if it is unadvisable.

the weather is really simple around here. you rust followed by sunburn followed by frostbite. all in the same fifteen minutes. this can go on all day. especially in june. bring all the clothes you can carry. some daily temp spreads can be up to fifty degrees in spring. here is a weather link;

I was about to change my mind about traveling to Hayden Lake, because of your doom and gloom forcast, But seeing that the average high is 74 degrees and the low is 50 degrees, as posted on the weather site you provided, unless a cold front or mass is forcast, it sounds pretty moderate to nice, that time of spring/summer.

My route takes me up Hwy 95 from Winnemucca, NV, I think I will have enough twisties on the way, thank you very much. Although at this point, everything pretty much depends on whether I am able to finish my work on my sidecar and motorcycle and checking it's road worthiness.

Well, I've had to reconsider my plans on attending the NW Regional Rally, it seems that their is going to be a local Street Vibration,Spring Rally that same week-end. Given the time constrants, I will feel better giving my rig a good shake down, closer to home, riding with other riders from the Rally, during Poker runs and senic rides, Not to mention the Venders and great food to be had at same. Knowing how few sidecar rigs their are in town, I could possibly be the only one to represent riders with sidecars and we certainly need all the exposure we can make. Hopefully, helping to increase the interest and number of new sidecar riders.

Sorry,

Jim in Reno NV

I am a new member still searching for a sidecar for my dog. I just happen to live in Hayden Idaho so I am excited to see the rally here.
If you are coming down I90 West of Coeur d alene, stop at the Snake Pit for some wonderful prime rib, bikers always welcome. It's just north of the Kingston exit. It is one of our favorite stops.

Hi Therazita,
Welcome to the group! Correct me if I'm wrong but it sticks in my mind that the Kingston exit would be east of C d'A... You don't have to go very far west of the Lake City to be in Spokane...

The only Reference to the Snake Pit that I could find was that it is now refered to as the Enaville Resort (aka Snake Pit) located in Pinehurst, ID, 300 Main St. If this is the place, the reviews of it were quite positive, food is good and is a eating spot for not only bikers, but bicyclist, hikers, campers, you name it. You've got to try the Mountain Osters or the Buffalo Burgers, Real Buffalo, Of course the Bar B Que got good revues as well.

Pinehurst, ID is East of Coeur d'Alene, ID off I90. Take the North Division St. Exit for Pinehurst. turn south to Main Street and Country Club Lane, Turn right or north/west to 300 Main St. You will also pass a KOA Park on North Division St. Pinehurst is located between Kingston, ID to the West and Smelterville, ID to the East, or Kellogg and/or Wardner,ID which are further East, might be better known.

That is of course, if this is the place they are refering to.

Only just now saw your post fender. The cost was per rig and it was an excellent rally. Hope you made it! I met so many fine people who I hadn't met before I'll be doing good to remember more than a few names...

Wonderful photos, Tom!

Thanks for sharing. Gosh, I wish I could have been there-seeing pix of all those old friends, having a great time at what was obviously a great rally!

I am so proud of you guys! You and Billie and your whole team really pulled off a first class event by all accounts! So very cool!
