Subject: Need to Locate History of a Florida to Texas Hannigan Astro 2+2 SideCar

Need some assistance from the Florida, Texas or the Southern United States USCA Sidecar members or anyone that could / would help / assist Richard with the history of a particular Hannigan Astro 2+2 SideCar.

Recently, Richard purchased a Hannigan Astro 2+2 Sidecar (Used) in Southern Texas (North Houston area and the SideCar is now located in greater Chicago land). Richard would like to get in contact / touch with the original owner to establish the timeline history of this SideCar from 1995 to March 0f 1999.

Time line items that are known:

1. Hannigan Astro 2+2 SideCar’s went into production in 1995 (No Serial Number on SideCars - Hannigan keeps track of production, by name of person who ordered the SideCar or who it was sold to, so there is no cross reference available from Hannigan. Hannigan can not help me, because they sold many SideCar’s in the State of Florida).

2. History information between 1995 and March 1999 – undetermined.

3. The United States Flag and Soldier artwork on the front and side along with the words “Family Freedom” on the rear were painted by Mountainman (Mike Lamborne – www.mountainmanart.com) in Florida and is dated - March 1999. Been in touch with MountainMan and according to Mike, Mike painted all of the Artwork on the Hannigan SideCar for a lady in Melbourne, Florida. The image of the soldier saluting the flag on the front represented her husband who was in the military. The Lady in Florida used the Hannigan SideCar for her children.

4. History information between March 1999 and June 2004 – undetermined.

5. Purchase in Cleveland, Texas – June 2004, now in Greater Chicago land

Pictures of the SideCar can be viewed at the following:

If anyone remembers seeing the SideCar on or knows who the original owners were, what the original colors were or anything else about the particular Hannigan Astro 2+2 Sidecar, Richard would appreciate hearing from them.

Was stated during the recent sale that it was once mounted to a Honda GoldWing – Don’t know. The mentioned SideCar will be attached to my 1996 Honda GoldWing GL1500 SE for my wife.

I would appreciate any Help or assistance on locating information on this……,

Regards

Richard
