I went through Blanchard Springs a few years ago with a group that had a six year old, I don't remember it being a special tour. It's a fair amount of walking but I think the typical kid will be entertained by the place.

If you have any items laying around, new or used that you think others would enjoy, please bring them along. Door Prizes are always fun and with economy like it is gathering them can sometimes be a challenge.

See you all there!!

Our tour of the Blanchard Springs Caverns should be ~1 hour with ~1/2 mile of walking incorporating ~50 stair-steps with by-pass ramps also available.

Bring a long sleeve shirt as it's ~58* down in the cave!

Anybody going to be in Mountain View this week-end? I'm headed over about mid-afternoon for a couple of days to scope things out.

Looks like great weather this weekend, only rain forecast is 20% chance Friday and Friday night. Highs in the (very) low 90's, lows high 60's. We probably had more rain early this week than Stone County received but I don't expect the dirt (gravel) roads to be very dusty.
Hats off to everyone taking the time to travel some distance to the Rally, I've seen a couple of reports posted already. I'd maybe start one myself but I only have 45 miles to cover.

Just got in from AR and I and the old Goose had a great time. I didn't find a bad road in the area, but I could not find any of the hackers to follow me around, after I told the story of my first gravel road in the area. Three miles up the steepest, most switchbacks and did I say fresh graded that morning, road that I found while there.

I did manage to to ride over 2/3rds of the time off pavement, with most being in the forest, Some of this turned out to be dead ends back in to areas where they had trailed in to fight fires.

I also picked up plaque for Rat hack with several stating hardest ridden hack at the rally.

What a great group of folks one bubble off to the side from all across the U.S. with one couple riding in from B.C. Them darn women even talked me into competing in games where the sidecar passenger had to toss things in buckets, of course I drove standing in the sidecar, left hand for throttle and brake, right for pitching. It was fun but I did not win.

Here's a small slideshow.

Kids, Julie and I had a great time with you guys in Mountain View. Asked the kids what they liked the most and got "cave, catfish, twisty roads, sidecar games, cool sidecars and people......" Oh, and hotel swimming pool. Yep, it was a big time for everyone. Thanks for being so nice to the kids.

And, thanks to all the organizers for working hard to put it together!

Ride safe,
Gary

Joyce, I do not what went wrong, but it is fixed now.

Thanks to all that had a part in putting this on. Great job.

P.S. Lee, that is not a pedestal, it's just jello and you will be coming down. LOL

We were home by 10:30 Sunday morning (of course we only had to go 50 miles).
Was a great weekend for us, Cathy was a trooper for her first camping trip.
I was hoping for a bit higher percentage of tent campers but had quality folks that did.
Only had one other rider for the gravel road ride, might have been more if it was on Friday.
If Cathy had been unable to attend I would have tried to stay up with you cleatusj, I think we like the same kind of roads.

While dropping off daughter at the Little Rock airport met an older gent -- called himself "Sidecar Bob" -- lives north of Mountain View -- had a short talk as the sun was very hot and he was entering hospital for some heart work -- wish him well

We would like to thank everyone for comming to our little community! Spoke to several of the locals and they really enjoyed the event! All of you, made it a great weekend and made all the work and time worth it! The kids that served breakfast, raised enough for several of them to go on the mission/camp trip, they are very greatfull for your donations!

Thanks again!
Keith & Lynda

Jim, it was great meeting you and Cathy. She's the one that talked me into doing the pig toss. I'm just glad she did not hand me a two way radio so she could guide me thru the blind folded course.

Is there a final count on attendance this year?

I'm hoping to see some great pics from Butch and you other folks who had real cameras out. In looking at a few pics I took with my phone, I realize that you must all be vampires since only the rigs showed up in the pictures. Here are a few
