We just picked up our new R1200GSW the new water cooled GS. This will be this years demo bike and as such we will be offering every thing we now offer for the current R1200GS, This includes several sidecars, steering modifications, automotive wheels, winches, racks, heated seats, lights and pretty much every thing else you could want for a sidecar. We are also developing a trailer hitch for the bike.
The bike will be for sale after the BMW national rally.

Jay, I have seen this bike on a motorshow.
I am pretty sure You will have to stiffen out nearly everything for a rig use.
The solo bike for the price of the value of our families and machine shop cars all together I don't think it will become an option for me.
Good luck and enjoy your project, for sure there will come up quite a few technical challanges.

We will have no problem at all putting a sidecar on this bike as well as making automotive wheels and steering modifications. Todate we have built about 500 GS sidecar rigs.

We will be at the rally in Salem, We will have the R1200GSW with our current M72DX sidecar with every option on it. We also hope to have a sample of the body for our new Expedition sidecar that we can show. We can help you with a Ural sidecar however our M72D and M72DX sidecars look very similar but are of a much higher quality being made in the USA by us. The chassis is sized for modern bikes, we have many options such as electric trim, disk brake, BMW R1200GS rear wheel, racks, winches, steering modifications, automotive wheel for the back of the bike that interchanges with the sidecar wheel and much more.

We just finished installation of our steering modifications for this bike and have made a batch for any one needing one. This is similar to what we have done on older R1200GS bikes but much more involved. We make a new from billet ball joint assembly for the bike that moves the ball joint back and up. We have also developed an automotive rear wheel for the bike. By the end of the day we will have the right side mounting set developed, middle of next week we will have the left side mounts ready. We have many new and exciting options planed for this bike.
