As you can see on the schedule there is two runs to Savannah. I thought you may like to know a little about Savannah.

Savannah is the oldest city in the U.S. state of Georgia and the county seat of Chatham County. Established in 1733, the city of Savannah became the British colonial capital of the Province of Georgia and later the first state capital of Georgia.[3] A strategic port city in the American Revolution and during the American Civil War,[4] Savannah is today an industrial center and an important Atlantic seaport. It is Georgia's fifth-largest city and third-largest metropolitan area.
Each year Savannah attracts millions of visitors, who enjoy the city's architecture and historic buildings: the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low (founder of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America), the Georgia Historical Society (the oldest continually operating historical society in the South), the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences (one of the South's first public museums), the First African Baptist Church (one of the oldest African-American Baptist congregations in the United States), Temple Mickve Israel (the third oldest synagogue in America), and the Central of Georgia Railway roundhouse complex (the oldest standing antebellum rail facility in America).

Are you a history fan? We are and we really enjoy seeing historical sites and old houses. Savannah is swimming in southern history. One of the highlights near our rally site is Old Fort Jackson. Old Fort Jackson is a must-see National Historic Landmark offering cannon firings and daily interactive programs. Minutes away from Savannah's Historic District, visitors of all ages experience unique views of Savannah's riverfront skyline and the Talmadge Bridge while walking the grounds of one of the oldest brick fortifications along the East Coast.

Fort Jackson is about 22 miles from Hardeeville and the ride should take about half an hour.

Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children and they are open 9-5 daily including weekends.

Here's a link http://www.chsgeorgia.org/Old-Fort-Jackson.html

I have had some questions about the Rally T-shirts.

Are any T-Shirts available in children sizes?

Yes we can. But as there is not a space for this just mark small and then send me an e-mail or call.

Can we get the t-shirts in gold?

Yes but again you will need to contact as above or they will be blue.

Another place you may want to check out is.

Hilton Head Island or simply Hilton Head is a Lowcountry resort town located on an island of the same name in Beaufort County, South Carolina, United States. It is 20 miles (32 km) northeast of Savannah, Georgia, and 95 miles (153 km) southwest of Charleston. The island gets its name from Captain William Hilton. In 1663, Hilton identified a headland near the entrance to Port Royal Sound, which he named "Hilton's Head" after himself. The island features 12 miles (19 km) of beachfront on the Atlantic Ocean and is a popular vacation destination. In 2004, an estimated 2.25 million visitors pumped more than $1.5 billion into the local economy.[3] The year-round population was 37,099 at the 2010 census,[4] although during the peak of summer vacation season the population can swell to 275,000.[5] Over the past decade, the island's population growth rate was 32%.[6] Hilton Head Island is a primary city within the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton-Beaufort Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The island has a rich history that started with seasonal occupation by native Americans thousands of years ago, and continued with European exploration and the Sea Island Cotton trade. It became an important base of operations for the Union blockade of the Southern ports during the Civil War. Once the island fell to Union troops, hundreds of ex-slaves flocked to Hilton Head, which is still home to many "native islanders", many of whom are descendants of freed slaves known as the Gullah (or Geechee) who have managed to hold onto much of their ethnic and cultural identity.[7]

Captain,

Are you planning to use the Bluffton Seafood Company for dinner? I'm planning to spend Thursday afternoon in Bluffton for the Farmer's Market (2-7pm). The usual farmer's market stuff plus food and live music. I'm going to the Bluffton Seafood Company for dinner. They are nationally rated and have all sorts of positive reviews! Simple seafood at reasonable prices. Too bad we're going to miss oyster season

From the reviews, The Cottage is another place worth looking for. Old house converted to a restaurant that is supposed to have great food!

As most of you know we at USCA are Pet Friendly. Well this year’s Rally we have gone one step more. We are going to have a prize for “The Best Dog-Gone Rider.” It will be voted on as a part of the Show and Shine by the people.
