Subject: Sidecar wheel

I want to change the wheel on my 79 harley car. My question is, is the sidecar hub different from the motorcycle hub. I have measured the hubs of several different harley wheels and they are too wide to fit the car. Did Harley make a different wheel for their cars or is there a motorcycle wheel that will fit. I want to change from a cast wheel to a laced wheel to match the wheels on my bike. Thanks, Chuck

My HD cast sidecar wheel is completly different than the motorcycle wheels and are not interchangable. That is on a 1992 TLE sidecar. I have seen laced wheels on there sidecars, You may want to check with your local dealer
