Is there a car tire that will fit my Royal Star front wheel. Size 150/80-16

There are a few, but with very short sidewalls. A 165/50-16 would probably fit but it would drop your front end by an inch and a half. And the only make available in that size in the U.S. (Achilles) is so soft (400-AA-A) that it probably wouldn't last any longer than a good moto tire. Are you using a bias-ply rear motorcycle tire now? One with a reputation for long wear? That's what I'd be looking for. Something like a Bridgestone Exedra Max rear, a Bridgestone Battlax BT45 rear, or a Avon Roadrider AM26 rear. I also would not discount the Metzeler ME880 reinforced rear -- even though it's a radial, it's a ton of tire. All of these should give you good performance on the front wheel of your rig.

I'm running a Nankang 165/80-15 car tire on the rear.

Actually, I was asking if you are now running a bias ply rear tire on the front?

No, I'm running a stock Pirelli tire on the front.

I think any of the four tires I mentioned will be an improvement over that. Personally, I've used the BT45 Rear on the front of my GS rig and it's an excellent paved road tire with a huge contact patch.  All four should give you 10,000 miles.  Here's some links--

Another vote for the BT45 Rear tire, using it on the front of my GL1800 rig.
