We have owned our sidecar rig for about 6 years now, and I finally got around to finishing the project I set out to do a few years ago...attach the sidecar to my harley. The GL1200 is an '86, the Ultra Classic is a 2009, and the sidehack is a California Friendship III. I used a mounting kit from DMC sidecars, and it went on pretty straight forward. Only a few hiccups (and new parts needed) along the way. All in all, I am happy with it. Still have some minor tweaking to do, but we were able to put 1600 miles on it riding out to the Sturgis Rally a couple weeks ago. Liberty Trees are definitely on my short list of finishing items...

I thought you might like that! The painter and pinstriper both matched the stock harley colors spot on.

Great looking rig! You can put a Tri-Glide triple tree and forks on that rig and be completely Harley stock. I bought all of my parts from online Harley dealers and worked like a charm on a 2003 Electra Glide.

Absolutely stunning!
Probably worth more than my three rigs put together.
My wife would love it.
I refuse to let her see these pictures.

Seriously, I know you are going to enjoy it.

The more I ride this rig, the more I am glad I made the switch. The harley has the low end grunt to get the job done....where the goldwing fell short. I can power up hills now without having to keep grabbing lower gears. I was checking out the Liberty 5 degree trees, but will also price out the tri-glide parts. First though, I need to clean up the goldwing and sell it for parts $$ LOL

You don't need the expense of TriGlide forks. 1"PVC spacers will do the trick to raise the front end back to stock height.
