Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and this is my first post so forgive me if I am doing it wrong. I recently purchased 2006 HD Ultra with a 2006 TLE Ultra. I am looking for the tonneau cover that allows me to keep the seat in an upright position and thus be able to lock it in place. I have had no luck in locating it,
even though many of the pictures from Harley show it. The only type out there is the flat tonneau with the back of the seat in a down position. If anyone has any information and can respond as to where I can find this item, it would be greatly appreciated. Having it custom made is over $350 which is a bit high.
Thanks, and I look forward to a positive response.

$350 is a very fair price to custom make one if you stop and look at how much time is needed to make the pattern, fine tune the pattern and make the custom part. We could do this and even have a TLE sidecar in the shop at this time to work off of but I would have quoted $400 to do so, so if you have a shop that will make one for $350 jump on it.

Thanks for the input Jay. Do you know if HD made them available back in the days as accessories or standard add ons at time of purchase. They show a picture of them in the sidecar section of the annual HD Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories catalog for the years that they were in production.

I do not know, I am not an expert on Harley sidecars, many others are. More then likely Lonnie will chime in with your answers.

Welcome to the slightly off-centered world of sidecars, Maty!

The Ultra sidecars had a seat back that was above the waist line.
You might try Amazon or ebay for a used one.

Good Luck,

Lonnie

Thanks for the welcome greeting OldSchool, much appreciated.
Lonnie, I have checked out ebay, Amazon and many other sights with no luck. I find it strange that this particular style of tonneau cover is featured in so many downloaded pictures as well as HD own yearly catalog, yet I can't find it for sale.
Will keep on searching or just have one made. Thanks for the fast response.

The Ultra and standard covers are also different in that besides the headrest the Ultra has cutouts for the handles.  In two years of scanning the web I've only seen a few for sale (including the current offering on fleabay for an HD "tunnel cover".
