Thank you for looking and considering this rig. It sold last night.

This rig is ready to go across the country and back . Doing a fly-n-ride is not out of the question at all. Can pick you up at Houston InterContinental airport

If you decide to let it go, please let me know. I have had my finger poised to dial your number many times, but until yesterday motorcycling seemed a distant dream. It is a nice looking rig. Enjoy your ride!

Jan, is your Central America ride getting closer? Let's meet when you are in CR.

Nice tipped over toaster, the right thing for Motel jumping from coast to coast.
Does it have a steering modification?
Regards.

Hey Sven, Plans are on for next fall to be in South America riding, though will be skipping over central America, shipping the rig direct to SA. Many thanks for your generous invites, but Costa Rica is not on the list of countries to visit this time. My nephew loves Costa Rica, in fact he just opened a new restaurant in San Jose.

The K1200 rig is a sweet ride. I had ordered the steering mod from Claude, which I still plan to install for the next owner.

Have fun and enjoy your time across the pond.

Restaurant in SJ. What and where? I am always looking for new pasture grounds
Just come back from one of my secret recomendations: http://www.hb.co.cr/en/

Sorry for not to be able to lead you down nice roads, but enjoy every moment with the boots on!
We never know how much time we have granted. So every day needs to be used up to its most.

Life is much more interesting then TV.
Go on, Jan.

Best wishes.

Crunch time, picking up the new rig from Claude this week, no room for both. The Beemer has to go asap.

Is ready to go cross-country now, so a fly-n-ride would work perfectly. Can pick you up at Houston airport. Or can deliver from the cost of gas and motels..... depending on distance, but then UShip might be a less expensive way if is a long distance.

Anybody want to talk??

<Me not, 5AM in Dark and bloody cold Germany.>cannot sleep.<
In a couple of hours I will shove in the battery into my solo bike and experience my 3rd spring time in 29 years.

What a change from tropical end summer to early spring with most trees 70% still translucent.

Both bike started up like a charm. My W800 even right on the first push on the button. As my bike had got some oil on the brake I used my son's Royal Enfield...Wet and freezing as poodles the bike and I got home... I didn't catch a cold yet... I start to worry. I am "too healthy".

My secret recipe "help for everything" is strange. and wonders me every day more EM efective microorganisms from a Japanese scientific.
Good luck to all.

Even though it doesn't need a new rear tire yet, I had already purchased a "Darkside" tire for the K12LT. Decided to mount it and ride to the South Central Division rally this weekend on Toledo Bend, the TX-LA Muster.

So the lucky sidecarist who buys this rig is getting a car tire on the rear, good for 20-30,000 miles. Same price, $8500.00

Sven, when you return to CR, here is the new restaurant info:

Santa Ana. de Momentum Lindora

150 metros al oeste Centro corp. Lindora.

Mi Tel 506 60484483, que me llame cuando vaya a ir para estar pendiente.

Pregunta por Juan Carlos Rueda Estevez. El es Colombiano pero estudio en la universidad de Houston Texas. Su ingles es buenísimo.

Are you near Lindora?

Hello Jan,
no, we live opposite on the wet-cold Zurqui pass.
For years we had always fresh air. Now with 2 vulcans spitting ash we receive the acid rain and fresh sulphur smell as Mr Hugo Chaves stated in the UN once upon the time.
Thank you for the restaurant tip. I will test the taste and report when back home.
Good luck
Sven

Look for an Achilles 175/55/17, several riders are using it. However you will have to find 60mm lug bolts plus add a 6mm spacer to use along with the 2 mm OEM shim so the tire doesn't rub on the driveshaft housing.
I found the 60mm lugs on eBay, ordered three new 2mm spacers instead of fabricating one 6 mm shim. The OEM 55mm lugs are too short with the additional spacer. That is all there is to it.

There is a thread about it in the Hacks Vendor section on AdvRider, five pages long.

Ride safe.
