Random quote: when I die I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did...in his sleep. Not screaming like the passenger in his sidecar!

Lots of sidecars, pure original real native prairie, rolling hills, cool nights, great people, and now...

...Canning Creek Cove Campground is one of America's Top 100 Family Campgrounds!

ReserveAmerica, says it is the United States' leading recreation reservation and campground management solutions provider and announced the nation's fourth annual "Top 100 Family Campgrounds." It is a guide to help seniors and others plan their visits to America's greatest 'hidden gem' locations all across the great outdoors.

"Our fourth annual Top 100 Family Campground awards continue our commitment to creating a resource for the camping consumer looking to plan and reserve a camping trip for this spring or summer," said Brendan Ross, President of ReserveAmerica. "We are proud to honor these outstanding public outdoor recreation facilities that provide such a high level of service and dedication while protecting our beautiful natural areas for future generations."

Consumers looking for anything from a weekend retreat to an extended vacation are able to browse through more than 150,000 campsites, cabins, day use facilities, and picnic areas at www.ReserveAmerica.com

The Top 100 Family Campgrounds were selected based on testimonials, campground ratings and feedback provided by park rangers, regional park management and campers throughout the year. Nearly 3,000 parks were reviewed and the final 100 campgrounds were determined based on specific family-friendly criteria ranging from educational programs and visitor centers to camping amenities and overall beauty and scenery. Factors including the quality and availability of hot showers, laundry facilities, hiking trails, family beaches, radio-free zones, visitor centers, educational programs, children's events and location were also considered.

I put some photos here,

I think everyone had a good time in spite of the weather. We did manage
some rides on Friday with just a few sprinkles of rain but few were
prepared for that cold front that brought buckets of rain and a high
temp in the 50's on Saturday. I will have more pictures soon and a
full report when I get the rest of my stuff unloaded and organized but
the head count was 51.
