Le Grand Tour of the USA

my wife and me have decided to take a big break and discover this big country with our sidecar .
The rig is : 2011 HD Road King with a 1971 Watsonian Palma sidecar .
our trip started on June 10 , 2012 and we plan to end it by August 20th , 2012 .

Fellow riders stopped at that place offered to photo us , dressed appropriately to face the quite bad weather condition of that day .


..and from there ... the Blue Ridge Parkway .


On July 31st , we left Maryville early in the morning to cross the Great Smoky Mountains that were particularly smoky that day ...


... and where we enjoyed the dealership restaurant !


... where few oldies were exhibited : this is a 1947 equipped with sidecar ...


July 30th was Harley Davidson Day : 10 000 miles check up and tire changes .... ALL DAY in the dealership ! gladly ...a very nice dealership ...


Sunday July 29th , the traveling on route 70 en route to Maryville offered us so many beautiful views of Tennessee countryside .


The Country Music Museum is really the "temple" of Country music : quite honestly .. they are so many talented artists that we never heard of before ....


July 28th was Nashville Day ! waiting for the Country Music Museum to open , we walked in downtown Nashville .


Always pleasant to picnic in such a nice conutryside , just before reaching Nashville .


July 27th , on route 49 , after crossing the Tennessee border line , we stopped for a visit to the Fort Donelson National Park .


Paducah is famous worldwide by many quilt enthusiasts and for its quilt's museum . We also enjoyed much the Fox Briar Inn comfort .
