Le Grand Tour of the USA

my wife and me have decided to take a big break and discover this big country with our sidecar .
The rig is : 2011 HD Road King with a 1971 Watsonian Palma sidecar .
our trip started on June 10 , 2012 and we plan to end it by August 20th , 2012 .

July 21st at 6.30 AM we left Enid and took small roads through Pawnee, Cleveland , Skiatook, Claremore , Pryor and Jay prior entering into Arkansas to have a lunch in Gravette , AK .


In Enid , we stopped for the day and found relief from the heat in a Bed and Breakfast , the Maple Place .


In Cheyenne , at the visitor's center , we took the time to do the souvenir photo before continuing our route and stop for lunch in Seiling .


On July 20th , we left Pampa and took Route 152 through Wheeler , passing through important oil fields prior to enter in Oklaoma around 9.45AM and be in Cheyenne around 10.30AM . The goal is to visit the Washita Battlefield .


We stopped in Pampa for the day and got a nice dinner at the Texas Rose Steakhouse , next to the Best Western Hotel .


In Amarillo , we slightly went off our route to ride on Route 66 for few blocks prior to get back on Route 60 .


Right after passing Clovis , we entered in Texas and crossed through Hereford - The world's capital of the beef , says the post at the city entrance - prior to get in Amarillo .


in the Museum , a self man made tricycle by a native of Fort Sumner , in the 50's .


July 19th , at 8.30 AM , we are at the door of the Billy the Kid Museum in Fort Sumner . Amazingly important and well stocked Museum where we spent 2 hours before heading to Texas on Route 60 .
